B.H. Hello, Socrates. Welcome to you. Thank you for coming to speak with me today.
Socrates. Hello, Brian. You are very welcome. I am glad to
come. We share the same mission and I am pleased to assist with the efforts of
all the other Celestial Angels in bringing this knowledge to mankind as well as
to the spirit world.
B.H. I would like to ask a question about terminology
in reference to humanity in our forms here on Earth and then in the spirit
world. On Earth we are called humans, humankind, mankind, humanity, the race of
men, people, and probably others I can’t think of at the moment. Are these
terms equally applicable in the spirit world or is humanity not humanity in the
spirit world, so to speak?
Socrates. What an interesting question Brian. Of course,
we do refer to individuals over here as spirits and they are still a part of
humanity and humankind, though we don’t call anyone here human as that has the
connotation of the physical being. As to mankind it is sort of similar to
humankind and useable as well as interchangeable with it. People is a handy way
to refer to a group of individuals but spirits will work too depending on the
context, I guess. A valid use of human would be “the spirit world is filled
with the spirits of humans.” So when we are referencing people on this side we are
using language that is not attached to the physical body or which mainly
references the physical body.
B.H. I see, Socrates, thank you. That makes sense. I
have long wondered how some of these terms transfer over to your side of life.
Socrates. People in the lower spheres retain much of the
corporeal terminology out of habit and due to physical closeness to the Earth
sphere. An individual’s vocabulary concerning humanity becomes more precise as
he or she moves up through the spheres of spirit. But it doesn’t really matter
in the end and this is why I considered this an interesting question. I am not
sure I had ever given it much thought, but the terminology which is usually acquired
by being in the same place with similar individuals is just sort of naturally
taken in and used without much thought. If you work on Wall Street, for
instance, you start using the terminology prevalent there and you don’t
question it.
B.H. I see and agree with that assessment, Socrates.
I hope that I have had a good enough connection to bring through the truths
which you intended for me to write.
Socrates. It seems that you have done well, Brian. Your
rapport seems good today and we have understood each other well. Keep up the
good work, continue to pray for the Father’s Divine Love and you will continue
to advance and bring messages of truth to your fellow humans. Bless you, Brian,
and may God keep you well and on the Path.
B.H. Thank you Socrates. God bless you.
