It is an interesting thing that you have been pondering. You know that the Earth changes are coming and that you will not have electricity for some period of time and you are worried that you will need to make a living while you are living in conditions that will mirror your nineteenth century on Earth. And I wouldn’t worry too much about what career you are going to have if you have goods that you’ll need to survive stockpiled. You are on a different path and this different path will be led by God, so in my mind you don’t need to prepare for what kind of occupation you need to be involved in to make money. Build up what you can in terms of things that you need and worry about occupation when the time comes. Yes, I would say getting a typewriter is okay, you may need that anyway, even if not for a career or an occupation. A bicycle will help. Chickens would help. Any kind of farm animals that you can get would help. But my point in addressing this situation is that you don’t need to worry about your occupation. That will unfold for you through God’s touch upon you and the Divine Love within you causing those traits that will be needed at the time to blossom.

When I lived, I did live in a more primitive way than you and your society lives today, and you will be living much more how I lived in the early twentieth century in rural Pennsylvania on a farm. And it can be done, though I see and know that it will be a large adjustment for many people and many people will not be able to adjust. Lack of food and lack of water will be a problem. Violence because of it will be a problem. In the 1800s, people were used to that way of life and they had their ways of getting the things that they need and it was built into the culture and society. It’s not that way anymore. It’s not built into the culture or society. It’s new, it will be new to all the people who live today in the built-up countries, in the so-called modern countries. The countries that are less modern will have an easier transition because they are closer to the nineteenth-century style of life. So, if you were to go to one of those countries you would find less strife and quicker adaptation. And perhaps if you don’t want to go to another country, going to a more rural area where people are closer to nature and closer to a hard scrabble existence than the city dwellers and suburb dwellers of your time are, that’s what I would suggest, some sort of rural area would be less chaos. Anyway, you are where you are now, but if you have choices in the future make them with this in mind.
